Since I was a young child, I was fascinated by the medical field. So fascinated, I was always signing up for science and medically related classes when I could. Collected anatomy posters and flashcards. And even got a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Despite my facination with the medical field, there was always one aspect I struggled with.

Needles. I cannot do needles! The thought of them makes me shutter. And what goes hand and hand with needles? Well blood of course!

Even though the thought of blood and needles makes me shutter, what a fun themed cocktail drink disguised in a blood bag! Ok, I think I can handle fake blood. Especially one with a red that’s maybe a little brighter and the taste of cherry vodka! Perfect for a blood red cocktail.

What I love about this fun themed drink, it’s of course perfect for a Halloween Party, perfect for anything Dracula or vampire themed. But also, perfect to celebrate those just entering the medical field after graduating with a hard earned degree! Or those who have put their blood (pun intended there) sweat and tears into the medical field and are celebrating retirement.

Enjoy a delicious blood red cocktail for every occasion from Halloween party and vampire themed or healthcare newbie or veteran.

About the Ingredients for Blood Red Cocktail

Vodka is a distilled alcoholic drink that is clear in color. It typically does not have much flavor and takes on the flavor of what it is being mixed with

Lemon Juice adds a touch of citrus and lightens up some of the harsher alcohol tastes.

Lime Juice is another citrus fruit this time with a tart taste.

Grenadine is one of the heaviest drink mix-ins with a bright red color and a cherry flavor

Blood Red Cocktail Recipe (2 Drinks)
