I have been a bit on the fresh fruit daiquiri train lately. Probably because the temperatures have been soaring outside and I’m not sure of a better way to beat the heat than a frozen drink. Well maybe a frozen drink made with fresh fruit! Its the fresh and frozen together that get me!

Another reason the fresh frozen fruit daiquiri’s have been my go to lately is summer time tends to mean a house full of fruit. But I cannot be the only one out there who also tends to have fruit go bad because it didn’t get eaten fast enough. Or because a whole bunch of bananas were eaten in one day last week. So this week I buy 2 bunches only to watch not a single one get eaten before they become more brown then yellow!

Either way, it sounds like a great time to make some banana daiquiris! I mean, fruit is too expensive to just go bad on the counter these days! And while banana bread is amazing, why not try a different treat this time? What I really like about these, is the banana taste is not over powering. Really just more of a hint of fresh banana taste, and not strong fake banana flavoring.

Snag those overripe bananas, grab your blender and make a fresh Frozen Banana Daiquiri to beat the heat of the summer with a refreshingly delicious frozen treat!

About the Ingredients

Rum is an alcoholic beverage that is made by fermenting and then distilling sugarcane in barrels of oak. Its also Captain Jack Sparrows drink of choice!

Orange Liqueur is an alcoholic drink with a sweet and an orange flavor

Lime Juice is fresh squeezed tart citrus juice from a lime. Nothing more! But it really does make this daiquiri

Simple syrup is simply a mixture of equal parts water and sugar boiled until fully dissolved and slightly thickened. It is a staple ingredient in most bars as it is frequently used to sweeten cocktails without having issues of sugar dissolving fully in a cold drink, or in this case a frozen drink.
