Hocus Pocus inspired cocktail, sometimes its all just a bunch of hocus pocus!

The original Hocus Pocus movie first made its appearance back in 1993. The movie contained a relatively simple storyline involving witches, a talking cat and Halloween night itself. With comedic undertones and geared towards a younger audience, surprisingly the film was not a success upon its release and received mixed reviews.
However, with the increased hype around spooky season and all things Halloween, the movie has gained increased popularity over the years. It has developed a cult-like following and is a frequently watched film in many households every spooky season. In fact, it has gained enough of a following to warrant a sequel which made its debut on Disney + in 2022.
Given my love for spooky season and Disney, a Hocus Pocus inspired cocktail was an easy decision on a new cocktail to experiment with! Don’t worry though, unlike the Sanderson Sister’s potion, this potion isn’t made with oil, newt saliva or pox! It does however have a bright green color just like the life potion the sisters make from their spellbook.
Craft this Hocus Pocus inspired Cocktail for those halloween nights when you feel like it’s all just a bunch of hocus pocus!
Hocus Pocus Inspired Cocktail Ingredients
Vodka
Green Apple Skittles Drink Packet (You can find them here)
Lemon Lime Soda
Silver Brew Glitter (I got mine from Amazon here)
Flask Style Glasses (I used these)
About the Ingredients
Vodka is a distilled alcoholic drink that is clear in color. It typically does not have much flavor and therefore is a very popular alcohol to infuse.
Skittles Green Apple Drink Mix is a single packet mix power drink mix to add to liquid bursting with green apple flavor and a bright green color. Just like the Life Potion the Sanderson Sisters make.
Lemon Lime Soda provides carbonation and a touch of citrus
Silver Brew Glitter is an edible silver glitter that creates a shimmering effect when swirled in a drink.
Hocus Pocus Inspired Cocktail Recipe (2 drinks)
1)In a cocktail shaker add ice and 6 oz Vodka and 1 Packet Skittled Green Apple Drink Mix. Stir well until the drink mix is fully dissolved.
2)Pour drink mix equally into each Flask Style Glass.
3)Top with Lemon Lime Soda
4) Add Brew Glitter to each glass and use a garnish stick to stir until you reach your desired effect
