Disney Pixar’s Inside Out is an amazing way to explain emotions in a way designed for young minds. It follows the main character Riley as she experiences several different emotions. Fear is characterized by the color purple and seems to be always over reacting to small obstacles.

Fear plays more of a support role in the movie trying to keep command central under control with Anger and Disgust when Joy and Sadness go missing. Despite Fear’s role of a supporting character, his job is to help alert and protect Riley from potentially dangerous situations. Fear, along with all the other emotions, help Riley navigate all the obstacles and challenges of life as a preteen in a new city.
