Disney Pixar’s Inside Out first made its debut in 2015. The heartwarming movie follows Riley as she develops her emotions from a baby until her preteen years. The first emotion she ever has is none other than Joy. Joy is the first emotion Riley feels when she first sees her mom after being born. And Joy is the first emotion the audience sees as well.

The character of Joy holds all of Riley’s most happy memories. Most of her core memories, those memories of experiences that make Riley who she is, are marked by Joy. And they are marked with Joy’s bright yellow color. Her positive attitude makes her the leader of Riley’s emotions: Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear.

As Riley experiences major life changes, Joy learns that sometimes being the leader, means you may not necessarily be the one to solve the problem.

Get ready to create some core memories with this Inside Out’s Joy Inspired mocktail to go along with catching all the emotions on the big screen!
