If you want action packed, fight scenes upon fight scenes that go on and on, well then you want John Wick. If you want an actor who cares so deeply about his craft to take firearms training to ensure everything looks as realistic as possible from a technical standpoint, then you want Keanu Reeves.

John Wick is a typical retired assassin brought back into the game for revenge story line. With the exception of what I said above. It has fight scenes that go on for days and it has Keanu Reeves.

Now, I am a huge Keanu Reeves fan! Yes he is a phenomenal actor. But the real reason I am such a huge fan, as good of an actor as he is, he is an even better human being! And what better actor to play the infamous John Wick, the Baba Yaga, then Keanu Reeves himself.

To be fully honest, all four the current John Wick chapters of the franchise have a bit more blood and gore in them then I typically like. Not really a suprise for the storyline. But what does surprise me? The number of inspiring quotes in these movies. We recently watched Chapter 4 and only a few minutes in, I was frantically scribbing down some of the unexpected wisdom. Lines like:

“Friendship means little when it’s convenient”

John Wick Chapter 4

and

“Fools talk, cowards are silent but wise men listen”.

Simply Inspiring!

If you want a John Wick inspired cocktail, it has to be Bourbon based. Just like John’s choice of painkiller that we see in the first chapter while he is getting stitched up. And what better aesthetics then frozen bullet shaped boubon stones for a drink themed after an assassin.

Grab your bourbon, and learn to make this John Wick Inspired Cocktail recipe to go along with the never ending fight scenes of revenge, surprising wisdom and watching the Baba Yaga himself!
