Jolly Rancher Vodka Infused Shots

Jolly Rancher Vodka Infused Shots to get the most out of our shots for whatever life throws at us!

For those of you who are following along at home, you have probably noticed that this is the second recipe that focuses on the delicious hard candy known as Jolly Ranchers. What can I say? I am guilty of really enjoying Jolly Ranchers! Not only are they delicious and fun, but Jolly Ranchers have such a vibrant color that makes Jolly Rancher themed shots really cool to look at. Especially a vodka infusion because it allows the alcohol to really take on the bright vibrant colors of the candies.

The other reason a Jolly Rancher vodka infusion was a must is because it is honestly one of the easiest candy infusions you can do! It does take a bit of time, but it’s mostly patience and waiting instead of active work. Unlike other candy infusions, there is no draining which ultimately creates a sticky mess. Now don’t get me wrong, I still do enjoy all candy infusions, sticky mess and all, but one that takes less steps is always a win in my book! Especially when that one less step equals less cleaning!

Grab that blue bag, a bottle of Vodka and learn to make delicious Jolly Rancher Infused Vodka to wow everyone at your next party and be ready for whatever life throws at you!

Ingredients and Barware:

Jolly Rancher Candies separated by color; 12-14 of each color is a good amount for 8oz of Vodka. With a Jolly Rancher infusion, there is no straining therefore, you will not lose any of the vodka in the process.

Vodka; since this is for an infusion, no need to get a top shelf bottle. Something in the mid range will do just fine.

5 Air Tight Containers

5 Shot glasses

A little bit of Patience

About the Ingredients

Vodka is a distilled alcoholic drink that is clear in color. It typically does not have much flavor and therefore is a very popular alcohol to infuse as it takes on the flavor of what it is being infused with. Given its clear color, it will also take on the color of what it is being infused with, which is perfect for bright and vibrant Jolly Rancher candies.

Jolly Rancher Candy is a hard candy that comes in several different flavors with its typical bag carries the following 5 flavors: Blue Raspberry, Cherry, Green Apple, Grape and Watermellon.

How to Make

1.Unwrap the Jolly Rancher candies and place each color in its own air tight container

2.Pour in the Vodka ensuring there is enough to completely cover the candy. Again, about 12-14 candies of a single color with about 8 oz of vodka makes for a good flavor and color.

3.Let sit for 3-7 days. Given that Jolly Rancher candies are hard, they take a little longer to dissolve than soft candy.

4.Shake periodically. In my experience, shaking does actually speed up the infusion time. Plus, its almost a little mesmerizing to watch the candy in the liquid when you shake it up.

5.Once all the candies are completely dizzolved, place the air tight containers in the fridge or freezer to chill the liquid to the perfect temperature based on your preference.

6.Pour into shot glasses.
