Knuckles Inspired Mocktail

Knuckles Inspired Mocktail to round out the Sonic the Hedgehog Trio! Every group of friends needs that loveable redhead!

Sonic's Knuckles inspired mocktail

Knuckles is known for his super power strength and dry personality. Knuckles give a lot of emphasis on loyalty, it means a lot to him. After a bit of a rocky start between Knuckles and Sonic, Kunckles now understands that Sonic is a very loyal character to his friends. Sonic and Knuckles share a mutual respect for each other and call each other friends! Although Knuckles spends most of his time alone on Angle Island protecting the Master Emerald, Sonic and Tails can always count on him when they need help. Knuckles rounds out the triumphant trio!

The Knuckles inspired zero proof drink is very simple, just like the character himself, and easy to make. But don’t worry, just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s not still delicious. Not only is it delicious, but it also adds a hint of fun to your Sonic movie night or gaming night with an added vibe of nostalgia for us 90’s kids. With a cranberry flavor, red appearance and white rimmer this drink will be there when you need it, just like Knuckles.

The Knuckles inspired mocktail is a delicious non alcoholic drink all on its own just like our loaner of a character. However making it alongside the rest of the triumphant trio of the Sonic the Hedgehog inspired mocktail and Tails inspired mocktail is a recipe for some delicious fun!

Ingredients and Barware for 1 Drink
  1. Cranberry Juice
  2. Lemon Lime Soda
  3. Pineapple Juice
  4. White Rimmer
  5. Whole Strawberry (optional for garnish)
  6. Vanilla Frosting (optional for rim)
  7. Martini Glass
  8. Cocktail shaker

About the Ingredients

Cranberry Juice is unsuprisingly made from cranberries. It is known for its tart taste and red color. The red color is just what we need to really give our mocktail the appearance of Knuckles himself

Lemon Lime Soda is a very popular mixer due to its clear color and light refreshing taste. It also helps to lighten up the dark red of the Cranberry Juice

Pineapple Juice provides a tropical flavoring making it the perfect addition to this mocktail honoring someone spending all their time on an island, even if he is not there just relaxing.

How to Make

1.Slowly drag the rim of your martini glass through the vanilla frosting to get a consistent coating all around.

2.Dip the rim of your glass into the white sanding sugar, again ensuring a consistent coating. The white sanding sugar is perfect for Knunkle’s iconic white hands. Add Ice and set aside.

3.In a cocktail shaker, add ice, 2 oz Cranberry Juice and 1 oz Pineapple juice. Shake until well mixed and chilled.

4.Pour over ice in rimmed martini glass

5.Slowly add Lemon Lime Soda to the top until filled.

6.Garnish with 1 whole strawberry

Garnish Tips

This zero-proof Knuckle’s inspired drink looks great with a strawberry garnish. It reminds me of Kunckles large, well, kunckles. It’s a relatively simple garnish. Which lets be honest, is my favorite kind of garnish! Just cut the top leaves off a clean, whole strawberry. Carefully place a slit where you cut off the leaves and slide onto the rimmed glass! Easy peasy! And fits the theme perfectly!

Enjoy!
