This isn’t my first Disney’s Lilo and Stitch inspired creation. The first one was inspired after Experiment 626 himself and is perfect for kids. You can find that Lilo and Stitch Inspired Mocktail recipe here. But there is something special and unique about the original Lilo and Stitch that made its debut back in 2002. So much so, that I felt we needed a new experiment, this time inspired by Lilo. Enter a Lilo and Stitch inspired cocktail.
Lilo holds a special place in my heart because she reminds me so much of my own daughter. She dances to the beat of her own drum. And I love that so much about her. She gets in trouble, a lot of trouble. Again, just like my daughter. But she creates her own path, finds her own village and stays happy despite having gone through some of the most traumatic of experiences. And at the end of the day, being happy is what I wish most for my kids in life.
Lets find the positives, stay happy and learn to make a Lilo & Stitch Inspired cocktail to share with our own little family we find, even if it’s a little broken.
Ingredients
Vodka
Fruit Juicy Red Hawaiian Punch
Pineapple Juice
Ginger Ale
Whole Pineapple (for garnish)
White Sanding Sugar
Cocktail Umbrella (I used theses)
Green Striped Straws (these are the ones I used)
Hurricane Glasses (I used theses)
About the Ingredients
Vodka is a distilled alcoholic drink that is clear in color. It typically does not have much flavor and therefore is a very popular alcohol to mix with other flavorful mixers.
Fruit Juicy Red Hawaiian Punch is a fruit juice with tropical flavors and a bright red color. Perfect for Lilo who lives in Hawaii and wears an iconic red dress
Pineapple Juice adds a hint of tropical flavors and fits perfect for a drink inspired by a girl who lives in Hawaii!
Ginger Ale is a soft drink that is carbinated and has a ginger flavor
Lilo and Stitch Inspired Cocktail Recipe (2 drinks)
1)Rim your Hurricane glasses with White Sanding Sugar. Gently tap the edges of the glass when done to remove any excess sugar.
2)In a Cocktail Shaker add ice, 4 oz Vodka, 6 oz Fruit Juciey Red Hawiian Punch, 2 oz Pineapple juice. Shake until well chilled and mixed.
3)Pour over ice into rimmed hurricane glasses.
4)Top with Ginger Ale
5)Add Pineapple Wedge Cocktail Umbrella and Green Striped Straw
