Minions Inspired Mocktail, It’s so fluffy!

The beloved yellow minions who are fiercely loyal to their villainous leader Gru first made their appearance in the feature film Despicable Me. The first in the franchise release in 2010, Despicable Me was a huge success. So much so, the franchise now has 3 Despicable Me films and two spin-off films where the minion crew is the center of attention. And the franchise is set to release yet another full length feature film soon.
It’s not really a surprise the films have done so well. At first it feels off for a movie geared towards kids to be ultimately rooting for the villain. A bad guy who seems to be using young girls selling cookies as part of his evil plot. But as the movie progresses, the audience gets a glimpse of the villain’s heart and gets to watch as it grows with love for the girls! And the family they make together. Gru, the girls and of course, the minions!
Check out this fun minions inspired mocktail and enjoy it with the family you have made watching your favorite Despicable Me films!
Ingredients
Ice
Blue Curaco Syrup
Creme de Banana Syrup
Pineapple Juice
Whole Banana (for garnish)
Black Striped Straw
Hurrican Glasses
Blender

About the Ingredients
Blue Curaco derives its orangy taste from the dried leaves of the citrus fruit that is grown on the Island of Curaco. Despite its orange flavor, the syrup has a bright blue color. Just like the pants the Minions wear.
Pineapple Juice adds a hint of tropical flavors and adds the yellow color for the minion’s skin
Banana Syrup contains a pale yellow color and the taste of a banana. Given that minions LOVE banana’s, its a must to add to a Minion inspired non alcoholic drink
How to Make
1)Add a quarter cup of water and 2 cups of Ice to your blender. Make sure to add the water first. Blend the ice. Depending on the texture you want of your non alcoholic slush drink, you may need to adjust the amounts of water and ice.
2)Add 3 oz Blue Curaco Syrup to the blender with your blended ice and blend to dissipate the color throughout.
3)Fill each Hurrican Glass just under half way full with blue slush. Place glasses in the freezer while preparing the second half to help keep the colors from running.
4)Add 6oz Pineapple Juice and 2 cups of Ice to your blender. Make sure to add the pineapple juice first. Blend the ice. Depending on the texture you want of your non alcoholic slush drink, you may need to adjust the amounts of pineapple juice and ice.
5)Add 3 oz Creme De Banana Syrup to the blender with your blended ice and blend to dissipate the color throughout.
6)Add the yellow slush on top of the blue slush to create the yellow and blue look of the minions!
7)Add Banana Garnish to the rim of each glass
8)Add Black Striped Straw
Garnish Tips
Peal Bananas carefully. Cut the top of the banana about 2.5-3 inches in length, Repate for the bottom as you can given the look and ripeness of your bananas. Add a slit to the bottom of each banana slice to allow it to sit on the glass with ease. I tried to slightly curve the slit to match the natural curve of the banana.
Enjoy!
