Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Shooters, TMNT secret ooze, Kawabunga and all things ninja turtles!

This is another one that holds a lot of nostalgia for me. I remember both my brother and I being ninja turtles several years in a row for Halloween! Now that I have kids of my own, I love how they each pick which turtle they want to be based on their own personalities. My house has a Leo in my oldest (one who is always inventing and learning), a Raph in my middle (my middle wild child) and a Mickey in my youngest (the carefree jokester of the house).
And what I really love about thiese adult shooters is that I can make a cocktail shaker full of these shooters and yet rim each shot glass with a different color and bam, everyone knows which shot glass is theirs. (of course, they dont really take too long to drink) As a bonus, it’s a very festive TMNT watch party beverage for the adults to enjoy no matter which turtle is your favorite. No having to choose between the 4 guys! And of course, it’s delicious and will keep you coming back for more just like the guys and a slice of pizza.
Choose your turtle, grab a slice of your favorite pizza and enjoy these deliciously green teenage mutant ninja turtle shooters while watching the guys on the big screen! Kawabunga!
Ingredients:
1.2.5oz Moonshine (Plain unflavored moonshine here as the shot will take on the flavors of the mixers. I used Ole Smokey Blue Flame Moonshine in this recipe, but full warning, this particular moonshine is strong. Which is why the ratio of mixi ins to alcohol is pretty high here)
2.2.5oz Orange Juice
3.2.5oz Pineapple Juice
4.1oz Blue Curaco
5.Red, blue, orange and purple sanding sugar for Rim
6.Vanilla frosting (optional for rim)
7.Red, blue, orange and purple stripped straws (optional)

About the Ingredients:
Moonshine is typically used to refer to alchohol that is produced illegally and made durning the night time under the light of the shinning moon to avoid getting caught. Today, there are several distilleries making alcoholic moonshine 100% legitimatly.
Blue Curaco derrives its orangy taste from the dried leaves of the citrs fruit that is grown on the Island of Curaco. Despite its orange flavor, the liquor has a vibrant blue color.
Although Orange Juice has fallen in popularity as a cocktail mixer, in part due to its strong flavor, it fits this drink perfectly and its orange color mixed with the blue of the blue curaco and the yellow of the pineapple create the perfect green for our teenage mutant ninja turtle shooters.
Pineapple Juice adds a hint of tropical flavors and helps round out the perfect green color!
How to Make
1.Dip the rim of each shot glass in frosting to get a consistent thin coating. Then carefully dip each frosted rim into sanding sugar (one in each color if your making the whole gang) Set aside.
2.In cocktail shaker add ice 2.5oz moonshine, 2.5oz orange juice, 2.5oz pineapple juice, and 1oz blue curaco. Shake vigerously until mixed and well chilled
3.Pour into rimmed shot glasses
4.Cut paper straw to size to match the color rim on the glass and add to each shot glass (optional but really drives home the theme)
Enjoy Responsibly!
