In our house, we first came to know and love The Bad Guys from the book series designed for young readers. The first chapter of the Bad Guys books came out back in 2015. But it didn’t hit our house for some time after that. When I saw they were making a movie out of it, I knew the kids would be excited. (Ok, and maybe me too!) What I didn’t expect, was for it to become one of my youngest’s favorite movies! He always suprises me and gravites towards the Dreamworks films whereas my older ones graviated toward the Disney Pixar storylines.
But back to The Bad Guys. The storyline is just too cute really. Essentially it’s about a group of animals that are typically the bad guys in storylines. Animals like a wolf, shark, snake, tranchula, and a parana. And how since everyone always seems them as the bad guys, they become the bad guys. But after someone gives a compliment to them, they try to do good deeds to help society realize they are not all bad. However, things tend to get hilariously screwed up along the way.
But as a parent, I love the underlying message of how people can become what and how you treat them. But also, things are not always what they seem. Sometimes the wolf isn’t the bad guy, but rather someone you wouldn’t expect. And your actions and words can really affect people deeply!
Get ready to make the bad guys inspired mocktail and watch your favorite bad guys change society’s view one hilariously good deed gone wrong at a time!
